About Dan

Dan grew up in Michigan and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1969. The 60’s were filled with excitement, which encouraged him to become an officer in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany and also lived in Virginia, Louisiana, Missouri and California, eventually finding his home and occupation in the Pacific Northwest.

Dan’s real estate career began in 1978 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where he owned and operated his own real estate firm until 1989, at which time he joined The Hasson Company and relocated his family to Portland. His expertise covers all aspects of residential real estate.

To expand his ability to assist buyers and sellers, Dan joined Windermere Cronin and Caplan Realty Group, Inc. on July 23, 2010. Windermere is a large network of brokers with numerous offices in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, Utah and California. This move allowed him a better venue to devote time and attention to helping buyers and sellers realize their “Real Estate Dreams”. He has a principal broker’s license in Oregon and has earned broker licenses in Washington and Idaho, as well.

His daughter Hayley joined his team in December 2012 after spending time working at Windermere in the Eugene market. Hayley graduated from The University of Oregon in June 2011 with a major in sociology and a minor in business. She has a broker’s license in Oregon. With the addition of Hayley to the team they have a strong blend of “Wisdom and Energy”.

Their basic philosophy is that whether buying or selling you should interview to find the agent you feel the most trust and comfort with. You need to employ someone who listens to your needs, understands your situation, is knowledgeable, as well as a good negotiator and is ready and willing to put a plan together to achieve your goal. About Hayley

Hayley was born in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and shortly thereafter moved to Portland, Oregon where she grew up just south of Portland in Tualatin. After graduating from Tualatin High School, Hayley enrolled at the University of Oregon where she graduated in 4 years. At the University of Oregon she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Sociology with a focus in family, gender and sexuality; as well as a minor in Business Administration.

Hayley was born into a real estate family, with both of her parents being real estate brokers, which prompted her to get into the "family business." While Hayley was still in college at the U of O she began assisting her Dad with his short sale listings by working as his File Tracking Coordinator & Administrative Assistant, together they successfully closed over 50 short sale transactions. During her 2 years assisting him she obtained her real estate license and began her own real estate career in Eugene, Oregon at Windermere Real Estate Lane County. After working for 8 months in the Eugene area real estate market, she decided to move her business to Portland and sell real estate in her hometown. After moving back to Portland in December 2012, Hayley joined Windermere Stellar and is currently working out of the Lake Oswego office. She also has now teamed up with her Dad, Dan Scott, and together they have made- Team Scott Real Estate. As a team, Dan and Hayley have a strong blend of "wisdom & energy."

In her spare time Hayley enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Eddie and her guinea pig, Ms. Nolah Beans. She also loves to swim, wine taste, attend University of Oregon football and basketball games, watch movies and cook.
